It does not have any sort of plate, carbon or otherwise, but it does have a supercritical nitrogen infused PEBA foam which makes it snappy and fast. Remember, 3% of the 4% improvement in the original Nike study (which led to the creation of the Nike Next 4% Shoe) came from the midsole foam, only 1% from the plate.?

Its a bit like old racing flat but with the latest technology on the midsole. This can well be your perfect shorter distance race shoe.
